If people think that the price of energy is expensive now just wait till winter comes. Where I live the local gas company is predicting a 40% increase in the costs of natural gas. This is driven not just by the fact that natural gas is more expensive on the market, but our glorious states and their idiotic state reps in all their profound lack of judgment have made nuclear power impossible and ruled that coal fired power plants are not allowed either...leaving natural gas as the only viable (wind power inst viable despite all teh wishful thinking) means of producing electricity..so with all the increase in demand for natural gas in the state...bingo skyrocketing heating bills. (Actually theelectric bills will skyrocket too since the fuel that produces it is so expensive but that WAYYYYY too complicated for a democrat to understand)
Basically its not just my state..in teh northeast where they use heating oil they are expesting a 35% increase.
The average heating oil bill in states like Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire, in a region where eight million households use heating oil to fire their furnaces, is set to jump by as much as $1,500 this winter compared with last year, according to estimates derived from the government’s latest forecasts for energy prices.
WIth the public as ticked off as it is already with energy costs I cant imagine what it will be like come January when people are really being bled dry. If the election were held in Janurary and madam Pelosi was still stonewalling on drilling vitory for the GOP would be a forgone conclusion. I wonder if I inflate my tires it will help my heating bills?
